Thanks for all the notes! Unfortunately I just moved, so the guestbook is down.
Online guestbooks have been popular since the very day web-hosting services like Geocities began to offer them. They mimic those found in hotels, in that they let anyone read, or write their own, little notes about the website. So how is mine different? Comments you write are printed out onto a standard receipt printer, like those you see at a grocery store checkout counter.
Why is this interesting? Well, hopefully I'll have a nice scroll of comments after a while. Each message is logged on the printer with your IP address, your name, your message, and the time you sent it.
This is the first really interesting thing to come out of my explorations with a receipt printer I bought on Ebay a while back.
The server is running on a custom Rabbit RCM2200 host PCB I designed. Just plug in power, ethernet, and a printer, and it's ready to go!
