PalmPaint is my open-source paint program for color Palm Pilots. No, it doesn't have robots or monkeys, but you can draw yourself some with it! Download it and doodle away :-)

Requirements

  • Color PDA
  • PalmOS 3.5 or higher
  • Desire to draw

Features

  • A saveable swatch of colors (double-tap to edit)
  • Erase (double-tap to erase full screen)
  • Copy and paste (option of white being transparent)
  • Undo (one-level)
  • Eye-dropper to select colors off the screen
  • Resizeable pen (click on up and down arrows), always a circle
  • File management (open, save, and delete)
  • Wicked cool interface (with graffitti shortcuts for all menu commands)
  • Tons of commenting (it's open-source, so I felt the need)
  • Batteries included

Postcard-ware

check out the postcards I've received so far!
In homage to the old days of BBSing (and thanks to my friend Dan's suggestion), I've released PalmPaint as "postcard-ware". That means that if you use PalmPaint and like it, all I ask is that you send me a postcard from where you live. Come on - postcards are cheap, and I love getting mail! My address is:

Institute of the Future
807 Ridge Dr.
McLean, VA 22101

Have fun drawing - thanks!

Links

Check out reviews of PalmPaint in german or japanese, and another asian language! I've also been linked to from the palm tip sheet and palm fan. I listed myself on VersionTracker, Visor Village and PalmGear. And PalmPaint has been reviewed and included on a cd with a Japanese Magazine and a Japanese Book.

Comments

PalmPaint keeps me awake at never-ending staff meeting and I am grateful to you for that
Very nice, color and Free! My 7 year old daughter loves it and even my 3 year old son can do some scribbling on it. I highly recommend this one!
I've always loved Teal Paint for letting me make colored doodling on my Palm. The only fly in the ointment was the limited colors I could play around with. Then PalmPaint came along! Rahul, you are a genius!!!
how do you spell "insanely great"? hmmm, let's see. could it be p-a-l-m-p-a-i-n-t? thanks you so much, rahul!!!
