Konfabulator Widgets

We're making a few Widgets for Konfabulator, a fantastic new tool for creating mini-applications that sit on your desktop. The cool thing is that you make them with XML and JavaScript, allowing the world of novice developers with web experience to create beautiful applications that take full advantage of Mac OSX's Quartz rendering. Because they are just text files, you can also quickly examine someone else's code and learn from their techniques (the equivalent of the Web's "View Source" button)!

iSweeper

Here is a fun little Widget to play MineSweeper. Click on a square to open it. The numbers tell you how many mines are immediately around that square. Mark a mine by clicking and holding for a second, then releasing (this turns the square cyan). Once you mark all the mines, without opening one, then you win! IP Serializer

IP Serializer is a Widget that just shows you the IP address of the computer you are using. On top of that, it shows you what your IP address would look like if it was printed as a UPC standard barcode. Is this useful? Probably not, but it sure looks neat! Check the official Widget page and a small screenshot.

To my delight, this Widget has spawned two derivative works - widescapeTimeSerializer and Time Serializer.
